Miami is not featured in Monocle’s list, but are we on the right track? Programs like “Roots in the City” make it seem so. They have brought gardening and fresh markets to run down areas of Overtown, thereby creating jobs, beautifying the neighborhood and providing its residents with fresh produce. It’s a step in the right direction.
