Miami Book Fairaoke and Literary Death Match

The Miami Book Fair International started on November 13, but today kicks off the street fair. The weather doesn’t seem to be on board, but it’s free and worth your time. Our two favorite book fair events are happening tonight. First of all, head to Lester’s for the 1st annual Miami Book Fairaoke brought to you by the hilarious and crazy-smart folk of the University of Wynwood. It starts at 8 and ends late.

If you’re not into that, head to Bardot for the Miami Book Fair debut of the famous series, Literary Death Match. The doors open at 7 and tickets are $ 10. Watch 4 authors duke it out and on the judge panel is none other than the incredible Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club among others. After the competition, drinks follow and a performance by a 12 piece R&B/Funk/Rock band called the Big Tasty.

Don’t miss out on this exciting event at Lester’s tomorrow night. A Sketchy Workshop. Connect with Miami artists, sketch your friends, eat Joey’s pizza and sip some wine.
