Check out The Miami Rail a new arts publication that follows in the footsteps of the famous Brooklyn Rail. The first edition came out this weekend at a launch party at Lester’s. Thanks to the support from the Knight Foundation, this new magazine brings a much needed perspective on art and urban culture in Miami. Take a look at the first articles. Don’t miss the exhibition on view at the MAM right now. It is a collection of pieces by artists that are inspired by the vinyl record. The Record will be on view until June but there are several events coming up. Like a panel discussion on May 3rd hosted by the owner of Sweat Records entitled, “The History of Record Making in Miami”.
