So drop the remote, get off the couch and come co- work at The LAB Miami !

Start-Up Nation is an amazing initiative by the Atlantic, which includes a road trip through the South looking for the new Silicon Valley. Why is Miami not on the list? We have a larger and more international population than places like Savannah or Chattanooga. What do these places have that we don’t have? Can Miami one day be a center of technology or business innovation? Although Miami is not on the road trip itinerary, at least its on their map. We rank no. 78 in the High Tech Economy Ranking, and we have 5,400 entrepreneurs per million people. Its a start. For more stats and information on this initiative, visit the Atlantic site
Start-Up Nation is a great example of how innovation can come from the bottom and that entrepreneurs across the country can offer valuable and effective ideas for change.

Introducing Start-Up Nation

We’re running a special report for the next few weeks focusing on innovation and invention across America. Technology editor Alexis Madrigal is road-tripping through the south in search of the next Silicon Valley south of the Mason-Dixon line.
